Even thought TED has been around awhile, I learned about this amazing Web 2.0 based organization as a direct result of TEDxSMU. I am very proud of my home institution (SMU) for hosting this great event. My only disappointment was learning that TED stands for Technology Entertainment Design. I think they should change it to Technology Education Design, as the focus is all on ideas that change the world. We are all able to receive education from the best due to exciting advances in technology and design, and TED is one of the best ways to do so.
